Welcome to Sunflower Montessori School in beautiful Missoula Montana!  We are a small community oriented school, committed to offering children the highest quality care and education.  At Sunflower, we have a clean, peaceful, low student to teacher ratio, and pleasant home-like environment.  The culture and climate has been thoughtfully prepared to honor children’s’ natural abilities to absorb knowledge and develop self-discipline.  Our specialty is nurturing children’s natural desire to learn – Sunflower Montessori is truly “a place to grow”!

At Sunflower, we follow a structured Montessori curriculum in the morning that encompasses mathematics, language, science, geography and practical life. In addition, we offer a fine arts emphasis in the afternoon, with hands-on art instruction in a variety of media, musical discovery, creative movement, dramatic play and theater.  We offer a selection of real-life activities to encourage individuality and free choice for each child.  To better facilitate our children’s development, we offer whole and organic breakfasts, snacks, and hot lunches.
